Carriageworks / Brand Custodian

Novel has been the lead creative studio for Carriageworks over the last four years as the brand solidified itself as one of Australia’s pioneering artistic venues. We are the brand custodian, and have been involved in everything! From developing the brand beyond text, into an iconic and memorable identity, we’ve designed major festival roll-outs, artist installations, venue fit outs, donor campaigns, print collateral, merchandise and digital marketing.

Novel has worked in partnership with the amazing internal marketing team to ensure tone of voice and brand consistency reaches every touch point.

One of our most exciting projects has been the design and implementation of a brand spanking new custom-built website, that seamlessly carries the unique physical space into its online world. Over the past two years, we’ve also partnered with Carriageworks to bring the SouthEast Aboriginal Arts Market online, through a dedicated website build. This process involved back-end and e-commerce training, to allow the in-house team to manage the fast paced online retail environment.
